Planting Seeds...

At the American Community Garden Association Conference!

What a thrill we had recently showing off our oyster garden with members of the American Community Garden Association during their national conference here in Downtown Hampton!  Gardeners from sea to shining sea came into town to learn about gardening, and we were on deck to show the unique aspects of having an oyster garden!

The oysters didn't mind the inclement weather!  They beamed their awesomeness just perfectly showing how--in just a few hours--they can clean a tank of murky river water.

Linda and I realized--a little too late--that we wished we would have asked a friend to take some pictures of the audience.  Afterall, this was a new experience for people from Missouri, Minnesota, Georgia and more, and it was fun for us to see their interest!  As is, we were so busy showing off our display that we got just a few pictures.  Still, they will always remind us of the privilege we had in planting seeds of knowledge and stewardship--all while sharing our love of oysters.
