We can drink only so much coffee and sit at the computer working on our events for so long before the sunshine beckons us outside! Lucky for us, we also have a good reason to get out and enjoy the cusp of Spring! It's our Shored Up oyster garden! How wonderful to have some warmer temperatures to tend to them!
You never know what will happen when you oyster garden... !
This time we had the GOOD: Lots of healthy oysters, pretty sunshine, people curious about what we were doing. We made new friends, like Libby!
CUTE "Libby" !!!
We saw "old" great-lookin' friends like Alicia!
We said BAD words while wrestling sea squirts off our cages!
%$#&*&+!!!!
We saw the UGLY: an ADV--an abandoned derelict vessel, had sunk at the derelict marina across the Hampton River. Sadly this is a growing problem. Getting rid of old boats is an expensive, difficult issue, so people are abandoning them. Sadly, in this case, blight attracts blight. This is the 2nd ADV that has sunk there in the past few months.
To end on a good note, we THANK ALL OF YOU all who support our oysters with your good stewardship! They are surely working hard to support us!
YOU + US = AWESOME!
